"From a very young age, we were drawn to music." When Quintin de Bruyn met up with Marchand Davel, they started writing music together. "We write from the heart, our feelings of the day go straight into the song." They started recording all the songs on their laptop and mixed and 'mastered' it the best they could. They recorded a song one day named "Need You" which caught the hearts of many people. The song was already aired on MpowerFm, Mpumalanga's radio station. They also featured in the July '09 edition of the Get It magazine, which was "a very big step for us." The name 4 LEAF TREE was originally mentioned by former bassist Armandus, and the name just stuck with us. The band's bassist and drummer recently departed from the band, "..we just had to go our seperate ways...". Now we are still continuing with writing and looking for new members. The songs were all written by Quintin de Bruyn ( Lead Guitarist / Backing Vocals ) and Marchand Davel ( Guitarist / Main Vocals ), so no changes will occure in the band's style, or the songs.
"Our jamming sessions are an ongoing learning process and we are not throwing in the towel." Marchand is a Technician for Prime Circle, and Quintin is a long time friend of the band, so they both get alot of good advice from the professionals themselves.
