ALLAN JOHN

Bio

ALLAN JOHN has been performing on and off as a solo act and a 3-piece band for the last 2 1/2 years, writing and performing songs that are focused on an alternative acoustic rock feel. JP van Schalkwyk is the drummer/percussionist, and Morne Venter plays bass, with a view to acoustic bass, double bass and backing vocals.

They are currently recording their debut album at Dreamspace studios with the legendary Wayne Joshua of Fahrenheit, and looking to release their first song early next year, with a second song and the album hot on its heels . . .

ALLAN JOHN has a dream to take the music internationally, and to bring back a way for up and coming South African talents to stand a chance of making it on the international circuit, with the help and support of local recording companies, rather than being stifled by the local scene, and having to escape it if they want to spread their wings.
