This time of the year, when the media start launching their "Christmas Attack" on the public, the idea of a Sunset Happy Hour sounds like just what the doctor ordered. Awesome bands are lined up to celebrate the start of the Silly season at Woodstock!

We can only wonder where it'll all end (or not). Yet ANOTHER festival? Well, yes. But this one is bigger than any other one we've seen in SA, with a great opportunity for bands!

Sitting on a plane, I'm listening to recently launched acts whilest chowing on some popcorn. Newbies appear faster than microwave popcorn, nowadays! And then a diamond comes along almost cracking a tooth! "Ladies & gents - we're switching to Autopilot!

I'm not sure that it's ever possible for an artist - especially a musician - to retire. We've seen it with Cher, Neil Diamond and the Stones. The same will be true for George Michael. And Mimi Coertse!

With Koppi still fresh in our memories, we can already start looking forward to the White Mountain Folk Festival at the beautiful Giant's Castle Nature reserve in KZN next month. And don't forget the Kiss "Spring Fest" on 30th August at the Groove Bar!
